Help with Math

Don't Panic!
This page includes some free resources for brushing up on the math skills needed for learning basic social statistics. The truth is, the math required does not go much beyond basic algebra. In my experience, the biggest math-related obstacle to learning the material in this course is ... fear!  So, don't be afraid. You can do this. Don't panic!  

Many previous SOC3811/5811 students have found Khan Academy's free Algebra Basics course to be very helpful. You might find it most useful if you sign up first. Signing up allows you to track your progress more easily. 

Ultimate Algebra provides a series of online videos that explain the basics of algebra and include reviews of various mathematical terms and concepts that will be used in the course.
